Novar has secured EEG awards for all six applications submitted in February for its German solar portfolio. The awards cover a total of 100 MWp of capacity and mark an important milestone in the further development of Novar’s activities in Germany.
The awarded projects have successfully come through Germany’s competitive EEG tender process for larger ground-mounted solar developments. Securing an award provides long-term revenue certainty and strengthens the commercial foundation of each project, supporting the next steps towards financing and realisation.
For Novar, the outcome is significant not because 100 MWp is exceptional on a national German scale, but because it represents a credible and substantial portfolio achievement for an individual developer building its position in a highly competitive market.
The awards also follow an intensive optimisation process. After an earlier application for the Untermunkheim project was not awarded, the project approach was refined and resubmitted alongside applications for other projects. All six February applications were then successful.
“Winning all six applications in one round is a strong result for our team in Germany,” said Kerim Eraksan, Country Manager Germany at Novar. “It shows that we are not just entering the market, but that we are building a serious position in it. What makes this milestone particularly valuable is that it reflects both the quality of our projects and the persistence of the people behind them.”

With the EEG awards now in place, Novar will focus on progressing the projects towards delivery within the required timelines. In parallel, the company will continue to develop routes to market for the remaining PV capacity and the co-located battery energy storage systems (BESS).
This milestone underlines Novar’s ambition to develop renewable energy projects that are both technically and commercially robust, and to expand its footprint in key European energy markets.
