Groningen, 9 December 2025 – Novar, developer of integrated green energy systems for the business market, has signed an agreement to acquire a portfolio of four solar PV projects from LC Energy. The transaction will strengthen Novar’s strategic position in large-scale solar development and smart energy integration in the Netherlands.
The portfolio comprises the projects Woudbloem, Veenweg Ter Apel 2, Amerongerwetering and Magdalenahoeve, with a combined capacity of 108 MWp.
A key element of this acquisition is the Woudbloem project, a 50 MWp solar development in an advanced stage. Novar will connect the project through Avermieden, a large grid station recently built by Novar.
As a closed distribution system (CDS) directly linked to the TenneT high-voltage grid, Avermieden still offers available capacity, even after connecting Woudbloem, additional capacity will remain available for future sustainable projects. This relieves pressure on the congested regional network and positions Novar uniquely to realise Woudbloem and integrate it into a future-proof energy system, fully in line with Novar’s strategy to drive the energy transition forward despite ongoing grid constraints.

The acquisition underscores Novar’s long-term commitment to developing renewable energy systems that combine generation, storage, distribution and management for the Dutch renewable energy market.
